linxus 6: step up
What is faith? What is Church?
What is more fundamental than this truth: that God loves us?
To "Step Up" is to dive deeper into the reality and our own understanding of the fact that we are loved by God; that we have value because of God's love for us.
"Step(ping) Up" involves living in this reality and letting this Truth that God loves you soak up into every aspect of your being and your life. The challenge of Step(ping) Up is this: "how are you going to live out this Truth in your lives? How are you going to let it impact you?" As Mat [Baker] said, when we allow this Truth to flood out of our lives, people will be able to see a change.
Step(ping) Up also involves growing deeper into God's Love for us; deeper into that relationship that He desires to have with us. If our value is determined by God, how does that affect the way we see the world and how we see our own values? Now that we know the Truth of God's love for us, how much more is there for us to understand? What is our response? To follow Him by diving deeper into His Word and allow ourselves to let our lives reflect that. Do we strive to follow Christ better, who is the ultimate expression of God's love for us? How much more do we want to know who God is in light of this love that we have been told of?Now that you're in church - as a young Christian - what causes us to stay?
